Was looking to buy this 50 gallon nuvo lagoon but it comes with a diy stand.

Asked the seller what he used and he said 3/4" plywoods and screws. The tank being 50 galloon, I am thinking it must weigh around 500lbs filled. Is this stand going to hold the weight without any structural frame?

Plywood is actually stronger than dimensional lumber, if properly used. Pick it up and move the stand around a bit. If it feels solid and not floppy, it should be fine. If it feels loose or anything shifts out of square when you move it, move on.

Plywood is plenty strong and 2x frame is not needed on a stand like that, as long as it was designed properly and joined correctly
