is this tank ok

I’ve been setting up my first saltwater tank, a FujiCube 108ext, which I purchased a while ago. I recently conducted a leak test that went fine, and I’m now getting ready to move the tank into its final position before filling it with saltwater. During a final inspection, I noticed something unusual in the back right corner seam (see attached image). I can’t tell if the silicone is compromised or just applied a bit unevenly leading to a cosmetic defect.

Could y'all please let me know if what you see in the image is concerning and if I should reach out to FujiCube about it?

I'm not sure, but I'd be reaching out and questioning that, it doesn't look good to me. It looks almost like that pane of glass on the right was damaged, and then siliconed in place. It almost looks like there could be a hairline crack in that pane of glass, just above and to the right of what you circled in your photo. Almost like the tank was dropped on that corner? Yes, I get that I just gave two different theories, but all I'm saying is, that doesn't look good; I'd be questioning that with FijiCube.

EDIT: What I thought may have been a hairline crack may just be the edge of the bottom pane of glass seen through the edge of the vertical pane.

Looks like they just over beveled that corner. The silicon looks good though. As long as it isnt cracked like it looks amd that is just the continuance of the edge

This is my first large tank and so I didn't look at the seems til just now, now that I'm ready to fill it with water long term (duh). As a noob, when I first got the tank I was mostly looking for big cracks and chips. Now that I know a little more and am inspecting more closely, what caught my attention about this corner is mostly the irregularity with how the silicon is applied. There it is not perfect as it is on the rest of the tank. Thanks again.

Knowing that the "hairline crack" isn't really a crack, I'm on the side of you're probably just fine. But this is a brand new tank, and I still might question this with the manufacturer.

Not to get that shape, a chip would not be so uniform and would show looking through the back. It would far more likely shatter the whole pane if they dropped it on that corner though. That looks mechanically shaped.

It does, no argument here. But what would be the purpose of doing that? What tank maker would bevel the bottom edge of a pane of glass? Seems like extra work to just make a weaker seam?? I get that the "bevel" looks perfect, like it's been machined, I'm not so sure, but not claiming to be an expert in glass or tank manufacturing, just asking questions :)

EDIT: I reread your original post where you said "over" beveled, and now I see what you were saying. When they were grinding the edge they went a little overboard right at that corner. It's not like they intentionally tried to put a bevel on the whole bottom edge, which is how I read your original reply.

Thank you guys so much for your input. Since I started the thread I contacted FujiCube by chat and they were actually online. They looked at the pics and said that they think it is fine. They told me they'd send it to the product team as well since the person on chat said they're not qualified to give more than an overall assessment.

Really appreciate the input and advice from you guys!
