I got this torch in the mail like week ago i have 3 other torches doing really well in my tank. I just moved it to the sandbed today to try to "help" it. Just wondering if its worth keeping i dont wanna danger my other torches if it brown jellys how does it look. I feel like it looks pretty bad.
Hey! It looks like the tissue line is definitely not nice and puffy, but there isn’t much of a white skeleton line below it meaning it hasn’t recently receded, so there is hope! Of course keeping an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t develop brown jelly is a good idea. But I would contiguous monitor it and check your water parameters to make sure everything is good. If your other torches are doing well and water quality looks good, it is possible that it is just having a hard time adjusting. Moving it down was definitely a good idea to ease in to higher light. You might also want to consider asking what the water quality and light parameters were from where you got it so you can determine a process that may help its transition:)

You might also want to consider reaching out to who you got it from to find out what the previous water quality and light conditions were. It could help you develop a plan for the transition. Best of luck!
