Never had anything melt on me before. I’ve been fortunate so far. But I’m guessing this is what it looks like?
Is there anything I can do? I just bought it yesterday.

Yes. I dipped it in coral rx then tank water then iodine, then tank water before it went into the tank. I I would say it’s been in there 16 hours and looked great when I put it in.

I am sorry, i don't see the mouth anymore. You can try to keep blasting off dead tissue, and hope whatever is left grows a new mouth. But, than you have to keep the skeleton free of algae. Or else the algae kills the left over coral.

Edit: at this point I would do a peroxide dip. 3 ounces of tank water / 1 ounce of peroxide and clean off what you can

I removed it. It was a cheaper coral then what else I have in there as I want to protect my scoly. Thanks for the help guys. Now I know.
