With my bioload smaller than it was before the velvet battle I wanted to look at some active fish.

I decided to do small scale QTs. So far, they've only gone through two weeks of observation and a full general treatment.

Copper Power is next for these guys.

I built free air lids with a mix of eggcrate diffuser, zip ties and crochet plastic.

I need some help identifying if something is off with my little clown.

He's in my second system and the display refugium now. I put him through a full duration of Furan-2 to address if the white skin mark was a slime coat issue or an infection from a wound. I just put him back after being in QT for the duration of the Furan-2 treatment. It appears the white marking is still there. He seems full of energy. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I shot an iPhone video; I think it captures the clown's behavior and the white marking on his skin below his dorsal, on his right side.

Here's the B Team in their 20 gallon long QT. This is from last night's setup and Reef Rally 90 minute bath. Now they're soaking in some General Cure.

I wanted to note a strange occurrence. I have two temp probes on my DT hooked into my APEX System. It's been very hot here in SoCal the past couple weeks. What was weird is that one of the temp probes started rising in temp. Very slowly at first. It was strange. I assumed something was heating the tank and I put fans on the system and ice bottles in the sump. I was expecting the system to run around 78-80 --- we keep the house at around 78, but with the lights on the aquarium will rise to 81-82 without fans on the surface during the 100 degrees outside / 78 inside.

I had both temp probes in the sump. One before the heater and one in the return chamber. I decided to move one up into the DT overflow to make sure I was getting an accurate reading of my DT water temp. The probe in the sump started to rise even more. It was nuts. So, I switched the temp probes on the apex to see if it made a difference, and it did. One was obviously bad. About this time the faulty one was reading 86 degrees, which didn't match my 3rd temp thermometer which is only a digital one I keep in the sump to double check temps. I bought a new APEX temp probe on Amazon and the temps are fine again. But really weird.
I was having the same issue during that time. I was thinking my tank was actually running a bit hotter than the house because it sits in the living room close to an exterior door and my thermostat is over in the dining room.

My oldest Coral in my 70 DT, a purple Galaxea SP. I think the stronger flow has really beefed up it's flesh over the last year or more. Purchased from Aquarium Depot.

‪Vinegar is a potent carbon source. I had some vinegar residue in my saltwater mix. QT tanks are now in a bloom. Added airstones 4 oxygen.‬

I got the planned planted reef full of water and cycling with One-and-Only and Ammonia.

Did a quick iPhone edit for fun:

Here's a saltwater Molly fry eating food off of the substrate. I had no idea how amazing these fish are as a cleanup crew in a marine tank.

You have a lot going on. How is the main tank going?

It does seem that way. What I'm doing is closing down my setup in the garage and consolidating it into this marine planted tank.

Then I'll be down to just the artisan reef and the planted shoal tank.

The lemon peel, firefish and neon goby ate almost out of QT.

Here's pics of my reef tank from yesterday morning.

I need to add one more EB8 on the reef. It's really stable right now. My BTA split again so i have three now. [emoji15]
