When I set up my new system, this time I opted to put in everything that would help me keep everything clean and junk free. Well, it worked. The problem is, it may be too clean. Everything is growing well, mostly Acro, Zoas and a few other odds and ins with about 12 very fat fish. I am having difficulty keeping my nutrients up. I feed fairly well, but NO3 stays below 10 and PO4 keeps dropping below 0.01. To counter I’ve been dosing NeoNitrate and NeoPhos and feeding ReefRoids twice a week.

For those who have very low nutrient problems, what are your go to methods to keep everything at a good healthy level while also keeping the system squeaky clean. Also, are there other issues I will run into in the effort to keep the tank super clean and how do I mitigate the problems it will cause.

Well the nitrates below 10 is fine.......the phosphates are obviously low. I keep mine between .06-.1 by dosing a combination of this and reef roids. Doesn't take much of either to increase my phopshates by .05 in a 105G tank plus it directly feeds the coral.....which is important if you have limited nutrients in the water column.
