Hewbie’s sump is looking and working fantastically! I haven’t stopped staring at it lol. Protip before adding media into the Lifereef reactor or probably any reactor make sure it’s in a media bag! I got carbon particles all over my shiny new sump since they were too fine and went through it. Lesson learned. I’ll be cleaning carbon out of my sump forever though! I still need to drill some holes in the stand too.

Pick up a Buckethead shop vac from Home Depot and suck out the water from your sump for your next water change and problem solved. Looks good!

All you need now is a couple snails down there to help keep it clean of unwanted algae
