Hello all. This coral hasn't opened in 4 days, normally it takes up a wide swatt in its general location, but the last 4 days it has being in its current state, some-what closed, and I noticed a pink coloration on its right side this morning...any ideas, thoughts...

how long have you had it? Its probably shedding, as leather corals do periodically

Beat me to it, Usually if a leather was happy one day and then looks really upset the next it means it's just in its shed cycle. With that said my Nepthea freaked me out the first time it did something similar.

Shedding??? Like a shrimp mults??? I didn't know that. I had it coming close to 6 months now...

Yep. They usually do it about once a month, but I don't have experience with this specific leather (devils hand). Maybe they shed less often than say, a cabbage leather.

Make sure it is in high flow or it will have trouble removing the dead tissue and take longer
