Ever have a tank doing too well? So well that you said “it would be a shame if someone (me) went ahead and f*^%#d everything up?! That’s where I’m at tonight ladies and gents. My tanks been running a year and I’ve made nearly no changes and things have been humming along. I decided I wanted to clean up my rats nest of wires and put it all nice and tidy in a cabinet. Make it look like I know what I’m doing. I decided to throw in an apex for good measure and as I get it set up, turn the return back on, total train wreck. The tank isn’t draining as fast as its filling the tank. Spent the last hour adjusting the gate valve and flow of my return and I think I finally got it back to status quo. What I thought would be a simple surgical procedure turned into open heart surgery. Let this be a lesson…. Leave it the hell alone lol.

Cheers

Jon

I used to have a tank with a sump that I had to adjust every water change for whatever reason. Could never figure out how it got out of whack every time.

Man is that annoying. Mine LARGELY doesn’t do that but now that I said it, I’ll have a treat waiting for me. It did happen more often earlier on for whatever reason. I’ve been in the clear for a bit but it makes me think it’s too quiet…
