Hello,
I have watched with interest what Dave & his squad have started and grown. If it works don't fix it-the only Americanism I've ever liked after hearing it many times whilst in a uniform. You should be proud of what you've created, hence my decision to join now
I'm almost 74, played music and the fool and some football for most of my life. Extremely happy age 10-16 that determined the road map for the next 60 years. Living in Salisbury, England { think Stonehenge }.
Have a very intelligent and clever son { Brit army off } the best d-i-l globally and the 2 smartest, funniest G'sons ever born. What have I done to deserve it all, NOT A THING. I once ran the largest football competition of its kind in Europe in the 1980s!
In approximately 6-7 weeks { depending on deliveries from France } I'll be the proud owner of a new white Red Sea MAX S-650. For most of the last 10 years I've been involved with Indian league football, but due to a little MS-type problem this will mean only going for a couple of weeks at a time, but don't pity me as I had the best wife ever and not one month of my life has been boring.
Being a Piscean I've ALWAYS loved the beach / sea but can't swim so having an aquarium of some kind has always happened . Due to the incredible tech advances made in the last 20 years there are some great private and public admittance aquariums. I'm now single, content & have the remote and try to hit a golf ball almost once a week.

To have a Calcium R or no, that's the question, the boss says no but others disagreeing, so what's the general " rule of thumb then "? I've used RedSea Pro most of the time, price though could be less!
Finally, is there a R@R Association in England?
Welcome to R2R! Thanks for sharing your background, I live by the saying if it’s not broken don’t fix it mostly because I’m lazy ;) Good luck with your MS battles.. my daughter who is 30 and has been fighting this horrible disease for the last 15 years of her life, she still lives with us and we do the best we can to make her comfortable but it’s a constant struggle. Be sure to start a build thread and share your new Red Sea tank, we love pictures :)

Regards,
Charles

so you know what my early, aching bloody body is like-does daughter have DHC continue ? Bearing in mind that I've discovered that there's more than one kind of MS; some think Fybro Myalgia is it but they wrong. anyway enough yap, of course I'll put some pics up when get started building the new 650. Wish your daughter as happy a New Year as possible.

She is currently labeled RRMS and levels or shows some improvement after flare ups but she has suffered so much nerve damage to her spinal cord and brain over the years she struggles to do the simplest things these days.. thanks for your thoughts and we wish you all the best.

I'm so thankful that I just have all the nasty pain upon waking up and some days are real S but ENT & brain all working-my 2 G'sons would disagree with the last bit. I suspect she likes your aquarium tho?

I run a calcium reactor because that is the simplest way for me to add calcium for the corals in my tank. I am not certain where to get supplies in England? I know there are places across the pond that supply Euro-reefs, and VAT is crazy I've heard, so I'm not sure where to tell you to purchase stuff.

Also, are you looking for coral sand, or salt? Some one on here will have a clue about Euro purchases.
