Good morning R2R. Waffles and coffee for breakfast. Beautiful day out, its going to be 75 degrees today with showers tonight. looks like I might have a slower day at work today. Time to get the pond ready for summer and look up some stuff on pond care. Anyone else have a small pond or know anything about them? Mine is a little green right now.
I hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning, everyone overcast morning here. In search of my first cup of coffee and trying to still wake up.

You must not be from Jersey because its pretty Ugly out right now. Just opened my pool last week, I do have a 4,000 Gallon Koi pond that has gotten very ugly this winter algae is to the point where I can't enjoy it anymore Im going to have to read up on how to fix it this year weekend.

Hi there!! Oatmeal and coffee for me this morning! Multi-tasking today! Hot sunny here! High of 90 today!!

good morning all wish we were going to get some showers getting dry here & we farm & could use it I have 2 small koi ponds one is 275g & the other 1000 or so the very best thing I have found to keep algae gone is to use a uv sterilizer I tried barley, algaefix etc I have way too many fish out there cause they had babies & I just couldn't part with them (big mistake anyone near me want some free koi? not kidding!) they eat a ton of food was given a tip to go buy a 50 lb bag of catfish nuggets at the local co op cost about $20 had been using tetra koi food & probably spending $100+ per season and they love it

I really dont have anyway to get power out there unless I run power cords and it would not look good. I do have algae too and need to get rid of it. I want to put some lillys in it. My real problem is mosquitoes, I want to put some fish in it to eat them.

I ran my power line underground well my husband did :) you are going to have a challenge without having power out there skeeters are gonna infest any non moving water (I know you know that)

Yea I know that, last year was terrible. I was thinking that mosquito fish might eat some of them.

Anyone ever use one of these:

Declare Biological Warfare on Swimming Larvae

Fortify your pond with a product that contains a natural larvicide, such as Microbe-Lift, Mosquito Bits, or Mosquito Dunks. They are safe for people, pets, plants, and fish, but effectively eradicate mosquito larvae without harmful chemicals.

I have three ponds. One is 1000 g and the other two are over 50,000g. Never had problems with Mosquitos. But I have fish to feed on larvae and in the smaller pond, tons of flow.
