I'm looking into dosing pumps and I came across the DP-4 made by jabao. I read some old treads with mixed reviews but I was wondering if any of you out there can give me an updated idea on whether or not I should get one.

It works great for the price. I wouldn't suggest using it to dose anything sensitive ( vodka ,iodide,ect..) . Beware the blue led light on it that signifies it has power is extremely bright and sorta bothersome.

Thanks for the reply! I actually found a deal in my local group and bought two ice cap doses for $60. I'll be using one to dose kalkwasser for now and save the second for later.

Nice deal!! Someone showed me some hospira medical pumps . They're on ebay . They're actually cheaper than aquarium dosers and a lot more reliable

That makes sense that they would be more reliable. Anything made for aquariums usually has an inflated price haha

Very true. I may look into one for the future . Lights are next on my list haha
If you are looking for affordable lights that will give you growth for now and allow you time to upgrade your lights later look at the Odyssea fixtures for t5 or the Mars Aqua led fixtures on ebay.

Iv already seen them. They're not really what I'm looking for . Got any other suggestions for lighting?

I currently use an ATI Sunpower and I love it. There are so many options out there though that are good and that makes it difficult to decide haha. A lot of the led fixtures are more controllable and you can simulate different times of the day if you want. For me I just want good coral growth and a decent price so that's why I went with t5s and use led supplementation

If you don't mind me asking. How much was your ATI fixture?

Haha yea. I'm telling ya those Mars Aqua fixtures are great. That's what I have over my frag tank and I only run the blues at 30% and no white at all because the fixture is so darn strong lol.
I guess I'll have to seriously consider them. I haven't looked into them very much.
