Jabeo submersible return/system pump PROS & CONS

Anyone using a Jabeo submersible return/system pump from their sump back to the tank. Any insight appreciated.

I have been running the jebao dc6000 on my 57 rimless for a little over a year now and I have no complaints. On my tank it is feeding my skimmer, carbon/gfo reactors, and returning water to the tank. It moves a good amount of water, uses little energy, runs cool and is near silent. When I first turned the pump on I though it was broken because I could not hear it and then I saw water moving and knew it was working. I also really like the "soft" start, the pump slowly ramps up to speed which is nice when turning the system back on after water changes.

I've been using the 12000 on my 120 for over a year. It's been great. I just cleaned it once. It runs pretty silent, but you do hear a small humming sound. I think it's way more powerful than it's rated. I have to keep mine just above 50% power.

Reasonably priced
Inexpensive to run
Quiet
Adjustable flow rate


CONS:

Threading is not NPT. If you wish to hard-plumb, the threading on the pump is not NPT. My little brain can't remember type of threading, but it's european/asian threading.
Too new to know what the reliabilty will be.
Made in China (take that for whatever it's worth.)

Paul, the first run of pumps had some weird threading. They are now all npt threads.

Love them, we keep one dc12000 return, one dc12000 skimmer pump, one spare.

Pros:

Low Power
DC In tank, not 110v ac
Soft start
Inexpensive, buy a spare and keep it on hand to mitigate any concerns
Controllable (turn down if you have too much pump)

Cons:

Head pressure, if you need it. They won't efficiently pump from a basement up to a display etc but have no issue whatsoever from under tank sump to display.
