Today my work is to install my jebao 4x doser and fix a mj ph that is on my ato setup because it quit running.

Other than this I'm taking a break from the tank so I can get some deep house cleaning done and some fall valances for my windows.

Omg! My milli is getting color back! Not fluffy yet but is coloring up and growing a tad! This makes me happy

Now on the otherhand I have 2 other coral concerns.
1) purple bonsai, it is more brown than purple, has little polyps but seems to be encrusting the plug further.

2)these palys (I forgot their name) are spewing strings of a dark brown. Why? I've never seen this.

Try lowering the Bonsai a bit, I bet it's getting too much light.

The Paly's are dumping some Zoox, I wouldn't worry about it too much unless they start bleaching.

Ok

The palys are used to being under all blue radions. Just picked them up last night. The were extended taller before I got them. They are now under led/t5

Thank you! And I think maybe that paly is too close to the milli that's returning to life. I was worried about coral warfare

I am actually going to be adding one more ati blue+ to each side of the ai's. Should I hold off on that, may be it will be too much?

Jackie, I just saw this thread with the updated pictures and video of your 180. Wow!! tank looks completely awesome! you should be really proud of how well this turned out. I love the columns and overflow and how that turned out as well

Thank you SO MUCH! Yes, I am really proud of it, it was a LOT of work. And I'm glad I took the chance with my overflow and column idea. I love the look and usefulness of them

I can't wait for it all to color up and grow in. My biggest goal here would be to finally be able to support and grow sticks and a clam or 2

I just saw this thread today and I must admit, I was really skeptical when you started talking about doing the pillars. But boy was I wrong! I love what you have done with this tank! What a great conversation piece this will be. Very innovative and creative. It will be a beautiful tank when it matures. Lady, you got skills! Definitely want to follow this one. Great job!

Thank you, you're too nice! Many were skeptical, mostly because they had "props" in mind and as you know most people in SW don't like props. These pieces were designed for complete functionality without showing the plastic so to speak. I wanted it to be realistic as possible. At least in my mind. I've never been diving but have seen many shows and the things they run across on the expeditions.

Haha, now let's just hope I can grow some sticks

So, during testing I noticed that my ca is still continuously dropping about the same amount every few days. Though I add liquid ca suppliment I realize it's time to hook up my doser.

I brought up everything to where I'd like it to stay so now to figure out how much to dose.

Here is what I have:

Ca 450
Mg 1400
Kh 8.4 (low for these numbers I know)
Ph 8.4 (house is open)
Temp 77.5
Sa 1.025

9/28 / 10/4
Ca 410 / 375
Mg 1380 / 1320
Kh 8.1 / 8.2
All else is the same but ph.

I have a 1/2 gallon of already mixed brightwells magnesium solution. 50 lbs of soda ash and 8 lbs of calcium hardness from the pool supply store. I also have epsoms salt for mg too but think something mixes with it or no?
