Maybe some of you know him as MSB123 or Jacob Mansbach who generally seems to be very active on this forum so it surprises me that I had to through this crap with him.

I decided to purchase some lights from him and we came to an agreement. So about a week goes by and he hasn't sent anything or mentioned a tracking number or anything. And my 8ft tank fell through so I asked him if I could cancel my order. I told him not a problem if he couldn't cancel or maybe I could just to do half the order as I wanted to be fair about it.

He agreed and was nice about it and said he would refund me later in the week for half the order as he was going through something with ebay and a refund to his paypal etc...I kind of felt like that really doesn't having anything to do with me but I was like that's fine.

Another week goes by and I don't see a refund, no shipping of the order etc. So I contact him again and he says he was busy etc and will refund me that day. But 3 days goes by and nothing. No refund no shipping. So I just told him lets just cancel the entire order and he was screwing around with me.

Says he can't access his paypal account as he doesn't know the password and it's on his computer at home and he won't be home for another 3 days from college. Wow! So he says he'll refund in 3 days. 6 days goes by and still nothing.

I communicate with him again and he usually responds within a day but nothing for 2 days. I say enough is enough and contact paypal to get my $300 back. They contact him and give him 10 days to respond. And he doesn't so paypal returns my money. Thank god i did it as a service/product and not sending money to a "friend".

So I don't know what his problem is but I've never had this much frustration with anyone on these forums. Everyone is usually very good about shipping and honest about their dealings.

Usually there's 2 sides to the story but this was pretty cut and clear to me. Up to you if you want to deal with him.

Hello.
After trying to get my money back from eBay for about 2 weeks as I had purchased something with the money that I thought would be mine. You asked to refund the full amount or for half of the lights. I agreed and let you know that it might take a while because I would have to return the item I bought from eBay and wait until they gave me my money back. As of today, they still have not refunded me my money. You filled the claim and I never received any notifications from Paypal. I have since contacted them and they let me know that the emails sent, but i just didn’t receive them. This is my fault, and I am not here to blame you or prove you wrong. I am in the wrong here. I have since stopped selling on R2R because, as a student, I cannot keep my commitments to school and to R2R. Thank you for understanding.
