I have a jaebo jcp 15,000 return pump. I cleaned it, and the pump body seal started leaking. I don't want to mess with it anymore if possible, it's my only pump and it pumps up from the basement, so if it rips or leaks too bad I'm in trouble.....

Does anyone happen to know the correct size or even better, have a link where to buy one from. It's the body o ring so it's large, roughly the size of the pump. Not the smaller output seal.

You probably need to measure it and goto home depot, Lowe's or buy a kit to get it. I doubt Jaebo would just sell just the o-ring. Search google on how to measure o-ring or buy a kit with multiple sizes. I did a search on google and AI came up with this:

The Jebao/Jecod DCP-15,000 return pump utilizes an \(\approx 38 \text{ mm}\) (inside diameter) by \(\approx 42 \text{ mm}\) (outside diameter) O-ring with a \(2 \text{ mm}\) cross-section for its output/input threaded collars. [1, 2]
Because Jebao primarily manufactures metric-threaded, proprietary fittings, exact OEM O-rings can sometimes be challenging to find separately. To secure a replacement, consider the following methods: [1, 2]
  • OEM Fitting Kits: Instead of finding a standalone O-ring, the easiest route is to purchase an official replacement coupler and fitting set. You can source OEM fitting components on sites like eBay.
  • Hardware Store Matching: Take the threaded collar and the old O-ring (if you still have it) to a local hardware store with a large plumbing section, such as The Home Depot or Lowe's. You can match the seal at their plumbing or hardware aisle using a specialized measuring cone or a caliper.
  • Metric O-Ring Assortment Kits: If you want to keep a variety on hand, pick up a metric Buna-N (Nitrile) O-ring kit. You are looking for a ring that fits tightly around the threads without needing to be stretched thin. Always use a small amount of food-safe silicone lubricant (such as Krytox GPL-105) on the ring to ensure a snug fit and prevent pinching.
hope this helps

That's my backup plan. I have it not leaking too bad after fiddling with it. So I'm afraid if I take it out again , I'm up the creek. So I'm trying to see if anyone else has already went through this and could share some knowledge

Aptly timed. I run 2 jebao pumps externally for my tank and after almost 2 years decided to clean them. I broke them down and soaked the parts in citric acid. The o-rings got new grease and went back on place. One pump went together well with no leaks but the other leaks at the housing as if the large o-rings is no longer sealing. The ring and housing looks fine to the eye but leaks significantly. I ultimately just purchased a new pump to replace it.

Honestly I'm about to, so I have time to figure out the o ring and use the second as a spare
