Hope all the coral recover and will be fine.

James put coral back in its all good.
Whew, ok, I did. Sorry, I’m just super stressed right now, between doing all the physical work, the welfare of the coral and then finding the almost dead dottyback… it’s been a day for sure.

Well, they can survive days in a shipping box. I'm sure they'll be OK for now.
Gl, happy memorial day.

looks good James, test your phosphates and nitrates tomorrow.
as soon as you can ,take a soft tooth brush to corals, get that algae off them, lps ,just do in tank, others do in container of tank water.
they are not dead yet. you can do this..
and chill, stressing makes the "addiction" not fun anymore...;)
show us some numbers tomorrow eve. don't waste your time testing tonight, just your salinity.

I like this layout much better actually.
Looking 100% better James
Id invest in cheap 20 gallon Rubbermaid contain from wally world.
Next week knock that sand out.
Siphon down as low as you can with 20 gallon without disturbing sand.
Put corals in 5 gallon container.
Rinse sand thoroughly.
Clean tank up.
Id finish cleaning up the rock next weekend as well.
So you got alot done today.
Weekly due diligence for next cpl months will be crucial along with water changes and your nutrient levels balance out.
Don't feed the tank. Feed the fish. Your critters have plenty to munch on during process.

Powerhrad stopped working for some reason. It just keeps flashing these lights.

I tried unplugging it and then plugging it back in, still nothing.

Not having the powerhead on worries me though. The torch is extended now, but not fully. Probably missing the flow.

I did turn the filter up to compensate for the missing flow.

Hopefully the gha dies off. Nice work.
Thank you. I really hope it does too... sick and tired of it discouraging me,

I will take care of the sand as soon as I get a chance.

I’m think now might be a good time to get a frag rack? Just so I don’t have to individually pluck all of the frags out one by one when I go to clean? Also, so they are off the sand incase algae decided to creep up.

Frag rack will help. Ugly phase will make or break you. This won't be the last one. 2 months. 6months and 12 months with random occurrences. You could see ugly phase at 5 or 7 years down the road.

Take the pump apart and make sure there’s no GHA in the motor or anything that might make it seize up. Just make sure not to loose any small pieces
