This build thread is going to quickly become a for sale thread!

Finished painting the back of the deep blue tank and water tested it this evening.

When I picked the tank up the seals looked great! Now that I put water in it all 4 seams now have a line of white micro bubbles in the middle of the seam almost the whole height of the seam! UGH!! The tank and stand is completely level!

Am I just being a picky person or is this just crazy? two tanks in a row from different brands! I'm now in a mood where I feel like throwing in the towel with the whole thing!

Drained the Deep Blue tank and most of the bubbles/white line went away. Doesn't make sense.

Decided to put water in the Marineland and see if any of bubbles in the seal of that tank changed and of course they did not. Now I am not sure what to do. Setup the Marineland and hope for the best or try to work with deep blue to get yet another tank? The whole thing is just crazy.

Here is Elizabeth helping me inspect the tank LOL.

It is actually pretty common. Not saying it is right, or something I would be comfortable with though. What happens is as you put water in it, the pressure pushes the panels out stretching the silicone and making those air bubbles appear. I would be nervous of it myself, and even if it isn't a problem you will probably obsess about it all the time just like I would. I would talk to them and give them a chance to correct the problem. Things happen, it's just the fact of how the company fixes those issues that tells you if they are made up of quality people. Love the stand BTW and Trigger makes really nice good looking sumps! Full eurobrace, drop in sock holders...NICE.

Wanted to add extra support so the tank felt solid in its spot and didn't wobble when people walked next to it or when the kids are crazy jumping around in the living room.

Added a small header and two 4x4's to really make things solid. Jacked up and leveled the floor while doing this, but being that the home is 75 years old I wasn't able to get it perfectly level. The rest of the adjusting will have to be in the placement of the stand.

Your lucky Amy is into the hobby as much as you, because my wife would never let get away with putting up support posts like you guys did . She gets mad at my fish buckets laying around ...lol
The fish stuff gets out hand once in a while I confess.

Started working on the plumbing tonight. Have the drain completed and cemented. More of a pain than the flex pipe but I think it looks nice and clean!

Well Deep Blue responded that the micro bubbles in the seam are part of the manufacturing process and can be more pronounced when it is filled and settles on the stand. What a joke!

Anyone want a good deal on a brand new tank???
