Just hit 90 days! I've been out of the hobby for several years. I was brought up with large freshwater tanks and always admired marine tanks. Due to basic knowledge and a love for science and marine life I feel accomplished and please with how my tank has done. I went through 28 days of pretty gnarly diatoms, and 23 days of some small green hair algae. Things have been very straightforward for the last 14 days. Currently adding my own cultures of phytoplankton and copepods. I have 2 mocha clowns, a tail spot blennie who is a monster at eating algae, and a dotty back. Different species of sand dweller snails, rock and glass dwelling and hermits as well as a cleaner shrimp. Weakly water changes and cleaning on the sand bed. I actually have found this much easier compared to planted FW tanks. What a blast it has been!
