Hey Everyone!

I recently purchased and started up a JBJ 45 gallon AIO aquarium.

Looking for recommendations of those who may have this tank of any upgrades I can do from the stock equipment? Currently, I'm interested in:

1. Obtaining a protein skimmer
2. Changing out the outflow nozzles (was looking at the IM Spin Stream's but hear they make a lot of noise and are frequently returned?)
3. Upgrading the return pump

& any other upgrades you guys think may be helpful with this tank. I already ordered two InTank baskets to replace the filter socks and they're arriving on Monday!

Thanks ya'll for your help!

1. Syncra Sicce 1.5 or 2.0.
2. Tunze Doc Comm 9001.

I used Mp10 wave makers. Tunze ATO. Definitely drop the socks.

Congratulations on your new tank. :)

I just started mine in January. It’s my first marine tank I got used.
I went with Tunze 9004 DC for skimmer.
Tunze silence 1073.050 DC for return pump. Very powerful. I added the random flow nozzles which work well.
No socks i have an in tank media basket with a mix of ceramic type stuff. Then a 300 micron piece of nylon screen on top to catch debris. I can rinse and reuse it. I also have a smaller in tank basket in chamber2 following the bio media. I put chemi pure blue and a finer sponge in that one.
Opposite side is protein skimmer , heater.
I want the MP-10 and Tunze ATO next to replace what I have. Jeabo, Icecap.
