Hope this is the right section for this thread. Anyways, I have just purchased the tank not too long ago. It's not a very expensive tank so the filtration system is pretty basic. I was wondering if anyone had heard of a better filtration setup for it or anyone have some ideas. Not really worried about flow because I have a mini power head in the tank. The biggest issue is replacement and constant checking. The system runs so close to the light it literally takes no time for my carbon filter to be over run with algae so much that it is spilling over the flow tray.

Im open to all ideas. If it requires some minor dremel work, thats fine.

Thanks,
Charlie
