Newly cycled jbj45 tank after a month with only 3 Chromis for now. I'll be adding LPS and softie corals. Wanting to upgrade the stock pumps to a single or double along with adding the correct powerhead and/or gyre with the correct placement.

There are sooo many suggestions and losing my mind with all the manufacturer and model numbers! What do you experts recommend? Not wanting to go broke at this point but not a cheap butt either.

I Would leave the stock return pumps for now and focus on in tank flow first. Slower flow through your rear filter chambers is a good thing.
stronger returns will also raise the level of the tank chamber.

Stick with a reputable manufacturer.
I had 2 ecotech vortech mp10s on my 40 breeder and it was more than enough at 75% speed.

Lots of people like the icecap or maxspect gyre circulation pumps too.

Sorry for the late reply and thank you for the advice. I'm saving up for the (2) Vortech MP 10s. The specs are vague with the gph. What setting speed/strength should they be set to and where is the best placement? I have (2) older Jebao EW10s now and they are kicking up the substrate at 30%. Not sure where and what position to mount them in the tank. Should I use 1 or 2? Too many questions... Thanks again for your help.
