Hi all.

Picked this up from a friends friend who had no time for it...
(January 12, 2016)

JbJ45
Tunze 9004 protein skimmer
Rock and sand
Wavemaker
1 bucket of Red Sea coral pro salt
Used 4 stage r/o filter system
A few other things. (and there are quite a few extra things!!)
No stand tho... Lumber and plywood getting picked up Sunday Jan 17. Yes, I'm building a stand.

Some updates for y'all
My clowns are spawning...
Rosey (rbta) split twice.
Frog spawn and green star poly are doing very well
Sadly something went wrong with both the red and green cap and list them both.
Picked up a few more items that are doing well.

I will be keeping the 75 up and running but I'll also note have this 45 up.
The plan is to move the clowns, rbta and some frog spawn over to the 45
After the cycle of course...

I also picked up a 48" x24" x30" 150 corner overflow that needs to be resealed.
I'll be looking to sell that if anyone is interested. Just the tank and some plumbing. No stand.

Spent the morning cleaning and moving things for this new addition. (First pic. Still not done cleaning but...)
Then...
I went to Lowe's for my wood.
(My cutting skills suck. I went to Lowe's and gave them my list of cuts i need for the 2x4's and plywood.)
Upon my arrival to Lowe's i noticed the 2x4's looked like there were a lot more there than i ordered. Yep, there was. Apparently a new guy cut my pieces. Didn't do a good job. So the manager cut new 2x4's and i got all the wood!! (2nd pic)
Only paid for what i ordered with a discount.
I figured maybe 9, 2x4x96 pieces... I came home with 19

Update

Slow and steady, Right??

Well this has been very slow.
Tank is still in basement. I've dropped some more ammonia in Friday night. tested it an hour later and it was 1.0ppm...
When I got home from work Saturday afternoon tested again and it was 0.0!!! Tested Nitrite and it was (don't remember the number) but was present.
Had to run errands... Next thing you know it's Sunday morning.
Tested again, Zero ammonia and Zero Nitrite

I'm a happy camper.
I do have a diatom bloom all over the rock but that's ok for now.
Sunday also saw the 95% completion of the stand. It's ready for the tank.
The few little items that need to get finished can occur anytime from now till new years 2295.
Had lots of lumber left over from the Lowe's F up so I built a post thing to hold the light.

Welp,
As i was leaving for work this morning I walk past the tanks.
Checked them out... etc...
Didn't see the halkfish so I looked in the filter area in the back.....
And there he was. AND yes this is the second time he jumped into the filter section.
I tried to get him but he went under the first section and didn't come out.
Hope he likes his new home till i get home.

Sooooooo...........
What does everyone use to cover their tank to stop the jumpers?
AND
Since this is a rimless I found a snail climbing down the outside of the glass.
ugh

You can get screen mesh top making kits from Bulk Reef Supply and I believe that Marine Depot also has them.

Sooooo Waaayyyy back in October 2014 I picked up this little guy.
About the size of a quarter........

Over the last 19 months he split 3 times.
I then moved one of his offspring to my newly setup 45 jbj.

Everyone seems to be doing quite well.

Last evening, June 30, 2016 at 11:57ish, as i was heading up to dreamland... I took one last look at the tanks and said my goodnights.

I was unable to snap a pic but Rosie3 in the 45 jbj was smoking.........

Never done did see that before.
Literally looked like it was puffing out smoke.
After his smoking stopped he deflated.

I immediately asked google what was going on.
welp, it looks like it was spawning.....
Some of the pictures I saw the water got super cloudy. Mine looked fine and this morning it's clear.

So yeah
Interesting night

Anyone else have this happen?
What can I look forward to?
