Jebao DC12000 too much for a 60g system?

I recently impulse bought a Prostar Pro Clear 60, which came with a bunch of equipment.

The kit came with a jebao DC12000, which seems absurdly overkill for this system (rated at 3170gph).
I know the pump is adjustable, but will it be too much for my system?

If so, I spotted a new DCQ3500 for sale near me which is rated for 900gph, would that be more appropriate?

It's definitely overkill (I run a Jebao DC 3500 on a 75 gallon) but you can always run it at it's lowest speed incase you want to upgrade in the future.

Edit Seems like the minimum flow is ~2400gph which is too much for a 60 gallon imo.

That's what I was thinking, the pump would definetly be quieter in the lowest setting, but I'm afraid it will still be too much.

Agree, the biggest issue would be the size of plumbing and drains to accommodate 2k gph. I also run the 3500 on a 75 and run at the lowest setting.

Cut that LPH number in about half, lol. Especially if you dont have a ton of head pressure.

I did the conversion, 12000lph has a min rate of 2k gph - head.

I run the 3500 lph is only ~900 gph and I have that on a 75.

Allright, thank you. I guess I will sell the 12000 and buy the 3500.

I run a 3500 on a reefer 170 about 40g total and a 5000 on a reefer 300 total 75g they both seem to work well.
