I keep mine on the sandbed under radion g4's.
I'll post a pic tomorrow when lights come on. It's a frag of my original colony that was about 6-7 inches in my other tank. It was about a 1-2 inch frag that I kept and it's about 3 inches around now. Been through 2 tank moves. One of my favorite corals, love the color.

Very nice. Any problems so far from that Favia (sweepers?)?

Mine is mid way under XR15 modified radiant color program. Non direct MP10 flow. About 8 months old.

Well it’s mid way now, sandbed in this picture obviously. Really does well either place. Dosing AF 1,2,3.

So when on the sand bed are they just on a drag plug and they grow out over the sand?

What is the best way to keep the encrusting coral from taking over zones? Or you just let them? Do they attach to the rock or are they easy to break off?

Here is Mine. It’s the only spot it grows reliably. Right in that exact spot on the sand bed. Any time I move it it stops growing. I nearly killed this one save for 3 paint chip sized pieces that I glued to a rock. Is the sandbed ok? Or should put it on a larger rock?

Here is mine. As you can see it may be in a bit of a war with the Sunset Monti.
Both started as plugs on the rockwork at sand level in my 38g. Radion Gen 3 and T5's ramping up as I took pic.
I look every day to see if there are any issues between them. So far so good.
