Has anyone here successfully kept jellyfish in one of those Kreisel-style aquariums designed specifically for them?
I'm curious what the real-world experience has been. Are they a huge pain to maintain, fairly manageable, or more of a gimmick than anything else?
They looked absolutely incredible at Reefapalooza, but before I take the plunge, I'd love to hear from fellow hobbyists who have actually kept them.

Kinda sad to lose them yearly, I think that’s why I haven’t pulled the trigger but they are so cool, I might yet.

The more I read about it, the more it seems the biggest challenge is when you go away for a week and have to rely on someone else to take care of it. If you're like me and already enjoy caring for your reef tank every day—and don't mind doing a weekly water change—it doesn't seem like that big of a deal. The real challenge is finding someone you trust to care for it while you're away.

Following along I was surprised how cheap the moon jellyfish and kits are and I'd love to have one but I don't know anyone who does. I read this when I was reading about care

"Jellyfish can technically survive in water that is up to 4.0 ppm total ammonia (NH3/NH4+) and 80.0 ppm nitrate (NO3-), but the aquarium water should be changed as soon as possible for the long term health of the jellyfish"

That is a lot more tolerance to work with v a reef tank!

Fortunately my oldest son lives at home, he has a 55g and I take care of his ( currently an) he takes care of mine when I’m away , got that covered for now.

I’ve been bad at updating…
Not sure if I put it in the thread but I did lose my original jellies and had to get new ones. Not sure if it’s a tank/water issue or a feeding one (or both). So far the new ones are alive but shrinking despite feeding 2x a day. That said, the tank works well, except the light seems to be on the fritz and may need to be replaced.
