I think the ultralith is a bunch of crap. I've been using it for about 3 1/2 months and the only good things I see are cyrstal clear water and good polyp extension. My tank has been setup for almost a year now and I haven't had any nuisance algae since last summer. In the last 3 weeks I've had cyno, and brown slime covering everything. If you look on the ultrlith thread on rc most of the people running it have the same thing happening. I stopped using it 3 days ago. The whole point of ultralith is to have a low nutrient system and the exact opposite is happening.

I have a good friend of mine who is using the same method . He had the same problem but then he dropped the dosage and its doing good right now. I saw his tank and the SPS colors really popped out. Im still scared to try it but just doing my method (pappone,AA and Vitalizer) I am happy :)...

Thats interesting stuff Steve. I might give that a try. Since I still have a lot of the ultralith left Im going to cut all the doses in half and see if the nuisance algae clears up.

This a pic of a rock with purple deaths on one side and nuclear greens on the other side. It should be pretty nice once it fills in.

At the rate these are growing that rock should be filled by summer! I started with 2 polyps of purple death and 2 polyps of nuclear greens around January. Now I'm up to 18 polyps of nuclear green and 10 polyps of purple death.
