I have an opportunity to buy one right now but I'm wondering how different the home wrecker and the Walt Disney are. I have a walt Disney already. The colors are ok. Thats my fault because it's sitting in 200 par. I'm gradually ramping my lights up slowly because I have a lot of high end lps in the tank too. I have a mixed reef so I have to find a balance. I have 2 echotech raidon xr15s over a red sea 3ft tank . I'm running the lights at about 65% right now eventually to 75% over 60 days. I don't want to spend all that money for something that looks like the Walt Disney I already have. I've never seen a home wrecker in person. I've seen beautiful pictures. What do you guys think?
Here’s my Homewrecker and Disney. They look very different in my system.

That's very nice. What lighting are you using and what PAR is that piece getting? I'd be interested to hear about your nitrate and phosphate as well.

Very nice man.. there's a very obvious difference. How long have they been cooking? How big were they when you got them? Did the colors change as they grew? I know my Walt Disney came green. Now it looks more like yours.

in my opinion they're different enough to merit having both. the homewrecker examples i've seen have more yellow and pink than the WD's i've come across.
you mentioned your lighting isn't where you want it which is probably contributing to the muted colors but its important that you also consider where your nutrients are sitting for the premium examples of both corals mentioned.
I also keep a mixed reef and have resolved that for me personally, there really isn't a happy medium. what makes sps happy is going to cause grief for your lps and opposite.
overall i am not trying to discourage your purchase. I just feel expectations should be tempered after seeing those amazing examples in strict acropora systems when your situation has other considerations.

Colors steadily became more vibrant as they grew larger.

Homewrecker was quite small when I got it. Here it is back in November of 2021.
