I have used John guest quick connect fittings with kalk many times but never submerged in the kalkwasser itself.

I have a new dosing reservoir setup and to make the most of it I would need to use a John guest fitting submerged in the Kalkwasser.

Most of it is plastic but there are small stainless teeth inside. Will the stainless dissolve in the basic solution? If they do dissolve is the small amount likely to damage anything in my tank ?

Thanks

Do you know what type of stainless it is?

Unfortunately it just says food grade stainless. I will reach out to the company and ask, unless someone else out there already knows what type of stainless John Guest uses ?

Food grade stainless steel is usually 316 stainless just fyi. Or very similar 430.

I would believe stainless steel especially if 316 or 430 to be totally fine. It’s the holy grail of metal lol. I’m using push lock fittings on my Kalkwasser set up as well for what it’s worth.
