Hey guys just starting a new thread on my upcoming 75 gallon reef build. Have a 30 gallon jbj aio right now. Got a offer I couldn’t turn down on a reef ready 75. Got tank stand sump skimmer pump and heater all for 100! I’m starting tonight by sanding down the black stand to be able to paint it gray to match the style of my house. Going to be keeping a mostly zoa and euphyllia tank along with my bubble tips for the frostbite clowns that I currently have in the 30. I will post progress over the next couple of weeks thanks guys. I’ll post some pics of my tank now with the new tank below.

Sanding the stand down has started. Tried to sand this down by hand last night and was tougher than I thought! Gave up and luckily had a friend who had a electric machine that is making this much much easier

That sump is awfully small for a 75. I think you should just put it on the Jbj ;)
It states this sump is good up to 100 gallon tank. My buddy runs the same one on his 90 cube and it does awesome. It’s the pro clear 100 freedom sump

What I have in my biocube too. One side is a Euphyllia garden and the other a zoa garden with a few other small pieces in the middle. Top is for my rainbow BTA and I have absolute zeroes.

Stand is painted! Looks like a off white in the picture but it’s more of a gray. It’s called popular gray from sherwin Williams. Next up is to order another light for the tank. Going to run 2 18 inch sb reef lights over it. Already have one on the 30 gallon. Then to order some sand. I think I’m going to going with tropic eden reef flakes. Heard good things about them.

Just ordered some tropic Eden meso flakes. Anyone ever used the meso flakes? I’ve heard the reef flakes were great but they are currently out of stock of those.

So any updates on the tank? Do you like the Meso flakes?
sorry for not updating for a while. tank has not been set up yet. spent a lot of time deciding on which light i wanted to go with! decided to stick with sb reef lights that I run over my now 30 jbj. https://sbreeflights.com/sbox-reef-lights/81-sbox-extreme-45-wifi.html.
decided on the 45 inch wifi model to have the ramping feature along with the app. these lights are fantastic so I thought why not stick with what works. the flakes look great from what I can see in the bag. just waiting on the light to get here and I will be putting rock in and filling tank up in the next week. also going with Brightwell product exclusively for this tank. trying out their new xlm bacteria for the cycling process and other various supplements. excited for the next step!

haven't given up on you guys. got the 45 inch sb reef extreme wifi light in last week and have the bacteria arriving today. just need to get the last of the live rock and the gyre bought. just paused at the moment with everything that's going on in the world. don't want to spend money just incase I need it for emergency purposes!

Nice score on that tank! Good work repainting that stand.

You could get a couple Jaebo powerheads to get you by until you feel comfortable splurging on Gyres. I have 3 - OW40. Good flow and reliable. I switched to a pair of 350 Gyres for my 150.
