People say it a lot, but there really are so many deserving entries this month. It was tough but I always force myself to vote for just one. I would go out and buy a mandarin if I wasn't afraid my tusk would eat it.

The subject for June's POTM contest was Mandarins. Now it's time to choose a winner. The poll allows multiple choices so choose the ones you like from the numbered entries below. The voting thread will close Saturday, August 11th at 11:59 pm EST.

As always, we thank Avast Marine for sponsoring our POTM contest. Visit their website HERE and be sure to take a look at the great products they have to offer.

Winner will be determined by this R2R Member voting by poll. In order to be eligible to have votes counted in the poll, voting members must have at least 25 meaningful posts and have been a member of R2R for at least 1 month by the time the poll ends (votes that do not meet this criteria may show in the poll but will be disregarded in the final count). In case of a tie, Team R2R will assist in picking a winner. Rules, deadlines and terms are subject to change at staff discretion at anytime.

PLEASE REMEMBER, YOU HAVE TO ENTER YOUR VOTES IN THE POLL, NOT VIA COMMENT IN THIS THREAD. IT'S GREAT TO COMMENT, BUT PLEASE USE THE POLL TO VOTE. YOU'LL NEED TO BE ON THE WEB VERSION OF THE SITE IN ORDER TO SEE THE POLL.

So let's determine the winner of the Mandarin POTM for July.

I’m a bit confused, I spent 28+ hours straight waiting for my Mandarin to swim to the front and created a beautiful vintage shot. Not only did my legs fall asleep, my hands cramp up from taking photos, and my mandarin became temporarily blinded from the flash, but I also really put my all into this.

With that said, I could see on my mandarins face this morning that he too is disappointed after reading the forums. Maybe next month we can do a yellow tang photo shoot? If that’s the case, my submissions attached!

But seriously, there was no way I was going to win, these are some amazing shots!

It is alittle small. Croping it would of improved it greatly. (would appear more like a close up) a nice pic, not much more as is.

Perhaps cropping it would have made it more of a successful portrait, for me the negative space only enhanced the wide aperture look of the overall photo.
