Hey everyone. Had this nem for 2 weeks now. He has looked great in my opinion, but today and yesterday I have been able to see his/her mouth. It's new and so am I to nems.

I feed the tank every other day and fed today. The nem ate some of the worms, but again I just want to make sure it looks ok.

The bulbs look great, but his mouth is shut and just looking different than when I got him/her. Does he/she look normal to you all?

Any help is appreciated.

He looks good to me, you need to worry if he starts looking like he's turning inside out or falling apart. They will ball up, open up, and do all sorts of strange things sometimes

Ok yeah I read about the stomach coming through the mouth.

The weird part to me is the center seemed to be more "open" where the mouth is more visible than before.

Maybe he is just finally acclimated?

Your BTA looks OK to me too. Nice shape and form. Being able to see their mouth is not unusual. The one thing that is hard to determine from the photo is the coloration. What color is it? It's not getting pale, correct?

It's a nice green color. I'll take some shots when the MH's are on tomorrow. I'm partially color blind, red/green, so it's hard to determine. My wife says it is definitely green and not turning white anywhere.

Thanks! I assume as he acclimated fully his color should get a deeper green right?
