Hey there! Welcome.
Hermits are usually one of the main ones when it comes to CUC. Thats the only cleaners i use. Maybe someone who uses other types can chime in.
Also, check out the sponsors here on R2R- you can find some CUC packs and such.

Check out reef cleaners. Email john the specs of your tank and he will recommend a cuc for you. They are great people to deal with.

Welcome aboard! My CUC consist of different variety of snails (turbo, astraea, cerith, nassarius), total of 6 hermits (3 blue legged, 3 zebra)(almost didn't get any because they can aggravate corals and kill each other or snails, they get banished to the sump if they act up lol), peppermint shrimp, cleaner shrimp, and a tiger conch. I am against all crabs other then hermits. Emeralds crabs are iffy, along with Sally Lightfoot crabs. IME..all crabs are opportunistic....

Im with Ozzy, I don't do hermits either. They get hungry, they will munch on anything in their path.

I've never had any trouble with the little hermit crabs. I had a rogue emerald crab once that ate two fish but he lives in Biscayne Bay now and the others have all been fine. Snails are great for the glass and I have a sand-sifting starfish that keeps the sand clean. Good luck!
