Hello ! Just moved from an apartment to this house. Setup the tank last night, waited for water to clear up and I added the fish. I have tangs to put in but my ammonia spiked from 0 to .2. Will prime be sufficient to keep this at bay ? Just till the tank transfers the ammonia down

You measured total ammonia but you need to know free ammonia concentration. Things are getting dangerous in the 0.02-0.05 ppm free ammonia range. Unless your pH is high, you don’t need to be concerned. If you measured total ammonia with API, the total ammonia might not be as high as the color indicates.

Prime is probably a useless product with respect to ammonia removal.
