I just got a juvenile zebra eel approximately 14-15" long, very healthy, and appear to have a pretty good appetite. So my question is, what is a proper feeding frequency for these guys? My LFS I got him/her from just said it would come out when it's hungry, and so far, it hasn't disappointed. I guess I'm just trying to make sure that Im not over feeding it if that's even possible. He/She gets a good-sized chunk of shrimp when they come out.

Thats how I do it with my 4 eels. They come out and take food until they are full. Since yours is still a baby it will want to eat more frequently which is okay. It will slow down as it grows. My zebra is now a little over 3 feet and she will come out every 3 days or so and usually eat 2 full size table shrimp and some LRS chunky that two of my other eels love and maybe a silverside which is all my jeweled eats. They like to come out and swim. Mine will swim to the top of the water and float around and thats when I feed them. Cute little one, I remember when Nebby was that small!

This is essentially what my tank looks like when my eels are hungry. Otherwise they just poke their heads out of the rocks
