Wow theyve taken off for you. Such a beautiful huge palys. Stunners.

I'll keep my building spam to a minimum, can't lead people on with false impressions ;Hilarious

Hey did we settle on a scape for sure?

I don’t think you mentioned anything else about the tank, size, AIO/SUMP, Who made it???

WE. NEED. DETAILS !!!!!!
Dont mind the spam at all.

SCA 50g. 24x24x20. Center top-to-bottom bottom drilled. 2 drains, 1 return. Holes cut in the of at the top, each side, for dual returns. Which will be RFG.

Thinking 2 nero 3's down in each corner facing the front. And then the 2 rfgs above them crossed like an X at each other over the top. The turbulance in the center of the display will be SPS heaven.

Bare bottom is the plan. I saw another BT here where instead of a base plate, pour a 1/4" thick layer of reef-safe BLACK silicone/rubber of sorts and let it cure for a squishy non-reflective bare bottom. Sounds cool. Need to research it more.

How big is the bulkhead for the return coming up from the bottom? 1"?

That's some serious flow For a 50G ;Smuggrin

What about a thin coat of silicone with crushed coral sprinkled on top and pushed in? Give you the crushed coral natural look with the ability to crank the flow to the max over it
Yep, 1 inch bulkheads threaded
Same size as my returns i plumbed in the 125. My Current Marine eFlux Dc 1900gph return pump is only 2 years old. And been dissassembled twice and cleaned. This was round 3 before storage. Its adjustable with a knob, so ill get the flow dialed in perfect when its time.

Thin coat and crushed coral... thats brilliant. Maybe.

Interesting idea. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that done before, but in theory could look good/natural plus zero sand maintenance. Into the idea... I’m gunna look into that for my tank cause as much as I love the sand look, I am soooo dang tired of cleaning up after it.

Here it is, all the joints and the back of the aquarium rocks were all siliconed then he sprinkled sand over it while it was curing.

Not being a smooth bottom detritus may build up some. Not sure if the maintenance Wallis be easier or harder the other options. I would love to go bare but wrasse won’t be happy
Im not going to have any wrasse i dont think. I'll leave that up to you and corey to handle ;)

The detritus will hopefully not be an issue at all with the flow coming across the bottom of the tank from each side. We shall see.
