Kalk stirrer too big?

I ended up scoring an IceCap KM-200 Kalkwasser Mixing Reactor for a steal from a local club member as I slowly buy items for my future dream tank. It's rated for 300 gallons and my total system right now is about 75 gallons and curious if I could still use it with just a lot less kalk powder or would it be too diluted to make a difference?

I forgot to mention I would control it with the hydros to prevent overdosing and have it run based on what the alkalinity and pH readings would be...
