Kalkwasser eating through plastic

I'm using 4L water jugs for kalk mix , but my last two jugs have been eaten through by the kalk. What container can you suggest for kalk? Maybe a 5g bucket (like what I use for water changes) if I have to. Is polyethylene safe?

I purchased 3 of these years ago and love them. I use them for CA, ALK, and kalk. Unfortunately buckets will eventually crack like most water plastic water jugs when using Kalk. Glass is the best long term solution.
