Hello,
Back again to my reef tank since local situation in lebanon was not encouraging.
Kalkwasser is driving me crazy.Since i cant have here a new peristaltic pump i am using an old fixed speed one which is too quick and results were negative since i had no rise in ph,kh nor ca,due to high speed drop and precipitation.I tried to dilute the kalk with ro water to 11 ph ,hoping that the ph gradient between kalk and water tank will be less with no result. Now i’m using the old fashion way, dropping with serum kit nearly 37 drops per minute in the overflow where turpidity is very high, minimizing contact with air co2,so drops are nearly over directly the water level.I see a very tiny discrete cloud on every drop within the water which should not since it is caco3,if i reduce the rate still i see this undesirable cloud. How can i be better?since im using low rate drops, turpid water area. Please help and thank you

At least in the US, we can get inexpensive electronic timers that can be set for as little as 1 min. Maybe a timer like that, set for a bunch of times per day, could work?
