Saturation at 25 deg c is exactly 0.0204 M or about 1.5 g/L. With most powder calcium hydroxide, that translates to about 2 teaspoons per gallon of ro/di.

Yikes, I think I have been way overdoing it! I guess it only creates waste at the bottom of the container. I'll start lowering the dose and watch to see what the ALK levels do.

There’s nothing wrong with adding more and having excess on the bottom. I often did that and just used it for the next batch. :)
