Hello R2R,

After a 7 year break from the hobby I’m jumping back in. I got a used innovative marine 100ext off marketplace with most equipment already just need the basics to get started. Here is what I got:
* Tank 100EXT with stand
* Trigger system platinum sump 34
* aquamaxx FC180 skimmer
* bubble magus dosing pumps
* heater with inkbird controller
* Ecotech vectra pump
* 2 gyre xf45 powerheads
* 2 Orphek Atlantic lights with 2 reef bars
* uv sterilizer
* media canister
* trigger system ATO reservoir with ATO
All that for $2,000

I’ll be documenting my journey here plan is for a super simple setup and LPS and soft coral tank

Most of the plumbing is already done, the previous owner did a great job in making this plug in play just need to set it up and get my tank ready, stay tuned. Hope this helps anyone looking for a low maintenance tank with lots of movement corals

orders 80lbs of sand and some other stuff. For anyone reading the thread, to re-iterate i bought the setup used so its not new and therefore most of the plumbing was already done, i liked the setup the tank had already so i just kept it. The plumbing is 50/50 black flex tubing and blue PVC. Questions for everyone, the prior owner ran an SPS build and i dont plan on doing that would the lighting be overkill also wavemakers to that extent ?
Lighting
  • 2 Orphek icon compact
  • 2 Blue Plus bars
Flow
  • 2 redsea xf45 gyres

What are everyones thoughts on that ? My plan is for the tank to be mainly LPS and Softies im going to do my best to make the tank as minimal maintenance as possible for anyone interested in doing the same.

Setup outside, I definitely recommend anyone using this as reference it’s helpful to layout your rock and identify the heavy pieces and those that lighter in weight for the top
