I know LPS like some nutrients in the water....is it possible to keep a LNS, LPS dominated, with heavy manual, targeted feedings? I have a LNS SPS tank that I am planning on making it more of a mixed reef. I don't want the LPS to suffer so I was hoping to give them the nutrients they needed by regular feedings (in addition to the proper lighting obviously). Can low nitrates/phosphates be replaced with Mysis feedings? You would think the heavy manual feedings would raise the nitrates and phosphates in my tank, but it doesn't lol.

I was keeping a mixed reef 180, and kept my numbers @ NO3 > 1 ~ .06 ppm measured with a RSP kit, and PO4 > .05ppm measured with a Hanna ULR checker. I did feed a cocktail of: Oyster Feast, Cyclopeeze, Reef Roids, Reef Chili, a couple times a week. Daily would be a blend of both Hikari and PE Mysis, along with some NLS pellets of which the Acan's, Blasto's, Plate.'s, Duncan's, Trumpets, et al. would get their share.
