So my question how far apart, if any, should I keep AFR & kalk apart in terms of dosing-
I generally dose 8-4 pm for AFR and then 8 pm to 6 am for kalk?
Given that it can take some time for AFR to convert over in calcium carbonate -just concerned about precipitation.

Also one issue I have is that the kalk reactor drips during the day- is this a concern as well?

There is no concern with dosing them near in time, and probably very little concern dosing them at the same time. The formate in AFR will not interact with added kalk. Only the calcium will, and unless you add them at exactly the same spot, that should not be any issue.

What happened if you mix them?

If you literally mix saturated kalk with AFR, you will reprecipitate most of the kalk since you will be taking kalk and adding a large amount of calcium to it.

Precipitation of kalk is dependent on the calcium concentration times (the hydroxide concentration squared). If you up the calcium a lot, which would happen, that number rises above the threshold for precipitation.
