keeping alkalinity in your stable zone

what are the best ways to keeping alkalinity in the correct designated numbers that you like. lije. for me that would between 8-9. but i have seen others at 10-12. are those numbers to high? and what are using to keep them stable? for me it be a doser. just want the others apions.

8 to 9 is a good range. Dosing, kalk, or calcium reactor are your options.
