Hello all

my 45 gallon w sump tank is going on 7 months old

I’ve recently added some monti’s and now my alk seems to slip weekly.

I’ve been using kalk in an ato with 1/2 teaspoon per gallon. (Container says 1 teaspoon).

I’ve been utilizing 2 part mid week to bump it up as well.

any suggestions on keeping it stable?

increase to 1 teaspoon per gallon?

Can you dose alk in the ato instead of kalk or is thst dangerous?

really don’t have a large system to add another pump

Yes, I would add more dry kalk to the mix. Increasing from 1/2 teaspoon to 1 full teaspoon might do it. You can dissolve up to about 2 teaspoons per gallon, FYI.
