Curious what everyone does to keep sand out of your drain when doing water changes, whether you use buckets or a pump? I've found it inevitable to pull some amount of sand out when I clean my tank using my python directly to a utility sink or siphoning into a bucket.

down the toilet with the water, in the grass or trash with the sand your preference. I use a 5 gallon bucket for water changes been doing it for years down the toilet of course some sand gets in the toilet and I've dropped a few shells and rocks too but obviously not the goal, also always had new pvc sewer systems in good condition.
