Ken's 215G Build

Tank is doing awesome. Phosphate is 0.02ppm so I might dose that up a bit to keep the carbon dosing rolling. Nitrate finally started dropping this week. It’s been pegged at 40ppm and tested at 26ppm today. That’s the carbon dosing working. I have pretty heavy bacterial film on the glass every other day.

It has been interesting to convert a fish only like this.

Almost 5 years old and never had an ugly phase or algae or cyano problem in this tank.

Coral goes in Friday.

I need to find coral vendors that have a big selection of good cheap frags. Since I'm quarantining the coral for 45 days in a separate tank I want to buy larger batches at a time and minimize shipping cost.

I'll probably get a couple easy acros this time. The monti caps and digi frags I got in the last batch did pretty well.

QTed all my coral in either a small nano that had water from the main tanks auto water changes or in a large 150 coral only... never had much luck with QT, would lose like 1/2 :(

Ouch! I had very good luck with my first batch and didn’t lose anything.

Everything browned out but not surprised under this stock Fluval LED. I did 5G weekly changes from the main tank.

Hi, I found your thread on a google search getting ideas for rebuilding my stand.
I have a pretty good understanding of how your stand was built, but I was wondering if you had any more pictures of the trim installation? The bottom just looks like a baseboard, but I am having trouble figuring out what you did for the top trims. Thanks!
