Previously was using Selcon all along. Decided to try out Zoecon this time round.

Like to check with reefers currently using Zoecon, as I am surprised by the thick consistency of Zoecon compared to the watery Selcon. Also after using for the first time, my skimmer have stopped skimming for the past few hours. Never had this issue with Selcon.

Did i get a bad bottle of Zoecon? Also, do you refrigerate Zoecon?

Thank you!
Ming

I’ve been using it the last few months so I’ve have minimum experience with it. With that said I only use a few drops in my food container, haven’t refrigerated it, and have noticed my skimmer seems to fall on its face for about a hour after adding it to my tank. Honestly haven’t thought much about it though. It may be a tiny bit thicker then silcon but not much at least my bottle isn’t.

Thanks for the prompt reply Hitman,

The consistency of my bottle of Zoecon is somewhat similar to that of a dishwashing detergent. It is quite thick. But it doesn't smell bad, so i just mix it into my fish food this morning. Skimmer is out for around 4 hrs. Usually with Selcon, skimmer would be out for around 15-20 mins.
