I have the pink ones they are hardy and have had the main stalk in my tank for six years. They drop babies like mad but are beautiful. I have filled a biocube tank with just droppings and am currently starting a fourty gallon with another colony. Pick out the dropped babies as soon as they drop, don't let them attach. If they do attach where you don't want them then cut them as close to the base and cover with super glue.

These are the new ones growing back after 2 weeks. I scraped the rocks with a blade after removing them. I don't even know how to get rid of them now. Any suggestions? About 25 or so sprouts.

Use superglue or kalk paste on the foot area you removed them from.
Only do a few at a time. Check your parameters. The kalk paste can be strong!

This self fragging mess issue is the reason some people don't like the regular Kenya tree after a few years. [emoji846]

Take those shoots and give them away.......you'll be amazed how many reefing friends you will make and even find some giving you a nice piece of something in return !
It depends on the type. The regular pinkish tan with tan polyps is pretty, but can take over the tank, similar to xenia or clove polyps.
Most people like a variety of species in the tank.
3 years later you are kind of stuck dealing with removing one.

The color looks promising. If that is a Kenya tree, it will expand about 3 times that size as it becomes used to the tank.

Look at all the pictures posted in this thread of the long thin arms.

Is that flow kind of high in that area?

Did you dip the coral before adding it?

Is it just something hiding in the branches? (Not that that would be a good thing)
Yes i dip in Seachem coral dip for 30 mins.
Shall i dip again or shall I just cut the DAMAGED parts n frag it in multiple peices.
I love my kenya please help me.

My kenya in very bad shape.I dip yesterday again in seachem dip because of some blackness on the side of kenya tree. Now i think its dying
I put it in the very low flow area... looks like its melting and some brown slime is coming out if it.
Please save my kenya I love my kenya tree. Any tip to save.

They grow back quickly. I would frag it out of the tank in a separate bucket of tank water and toss anything that doesn't look perfect.

Did the dip say to leave it in there for 30 minutes? I am more familiar with 5 minutes for most of my dips.

The flow seemed kind of high where you had before.

How are the rest of your corals looking?

You had some very pretty pieces in that tank.
Are they all still ok?

If they all look sad I would check your parameters.
If the other corals look fine I would definitely think it was the Kenya tree.
