I've had this coral for about 3 days from the LFS, along with 2 others of the same type. This little group doesn't seem as happy as the other two, but I assumed it was location in the tank bc the other 2 are in a different spot. For the last 24-48 hours it has been giving off these threads of mucus, and a couple little branches of it aren't open.

Here are the other two happy ones:

Is there something wrong with the first coral? Like a disease? Or is it just not happy?

+1 to above, don't worry about the strands. My leather is doing it right now as a matter of fact.

They'll come around coral does weird stuff. My bigger Lemnalia(Kenya tree coral) at about 6-7 inches closes down every few month for days to about 1 inch and turns black.... Comes back in about a week not sure why it does it though?

ARE YOU READY TO CONFESS TO CRAZIEST, DUMBEST, FUNNIEST THING YOU’VE EVER DONE IN REEFING?
